The problem
One weekend project shouldn't cost $200.
A circular saw for a Saturday. A pressure washer for the deck. A ladder for the gutters. Buy it and it lives in your garage forever. Rent it and you're paying a minimum, making two trips and racing the clock.
Your neighbors already own all of it.
How it works
Borrowing takes three taps. Usually one walk.
Search it
Mid-project? Clog in the sink? Search your neighborhood for it.
Ask for it
Tap Request to Borrow, or send a "Need it" ping to every neighbor who has one.
Pick it up
Walk over, use it, bring it back. Rate each other.
Example conversation
New · Need it
One tap. Every neighbor who has it.
Don't search, scroll and message one by one. Say what you need and Toolhop pings every neighbor in Riss Lake who has one listed. Whoever's home answers.
Built for neighborhoods
Neighbors, not strangers.
You only see and borrow from verified neighbors in YOUR neighborhood: people you'll actually run into at the grocery store. Not some random guy across town wanting your ladder. There's no radius to game: if you're not a verified member of the neighborhood, you don't see its tools.

For lenders
Your tools sit idle. Share your garage.
List a tool in about a minute. Lend it free, set your own rate, or list it for sale. Any money is settled between you and your neighbor; Toolhop never handles it. Add an optional deposit on the expensive stuff and block off days you need it.
days a year a one-job tool sits on the shelf, if you use it once.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is Toolhop in my area?
We're launching one neighborhood at a time, starting with Riss Lake. Pick your neighborhood in the app. If it isn't live yet, invite neighbors to unlock it.
Do I have to charge?
Nope. Lend free, set a rate, or sell it.
Who can see my tools?
Only verified neighbors in your own neighborhood. Riss Lake members see Riss Lake tools, and nobody outside the neighborhood can browse or request them. We show first names and street, never your address.
How does the subscription work?
Browsing and listing are always free. To send borrow requests, Toolhop Pro is $2.99/month after a free first month. It's billed through your Apple ID and auto-renews until you cancel in your iPhone's subscription settings.
Can I sell a tool instead of lending it?
Yes. Mark any listing as for sale. You and the buyer sort out price and payment directly.
What if something breaks?
Toolhop only connects neighbors. Rental terms, payments, deposits, damage and loss are between the borrower and lender. Toolhop never handles money between neighbors and doesn't take a cut.
How do I cancel?
Anytime in your iPhone's App Store subscriptions.
What phones?
iPhone, from the App Store.
The tool you need is probably three doors down.
